Utility Safety Health and Environment Awareness Waste Management (SHEA Waste management) is one of a portfolio of schemes that have been developed in conjunction with industry to provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector.

The SHEA waste management course comprises eight core modules supplemented by two industry specific modules aimed at waste management operatives.
Who is it for?
Operatives, supervisors and management involved in the operational activities of the waste industry who require temporary or permanent site access:

- Independent operators
What does it involve?
The core requirements are
- a one day training course
- Short multiple choice awareness checks given in stages through the day
